About the coffee:

This single origin Honduran coffee comes from various smallholder farmers in Honduras, grown in and around the famous Marcala coffee region of La Paz. Marcala is well known for producing clean, sweet and approachable coffees, making it a great choice for anyone who enjoys balanced specialty coffee beans with a smooth finish.

Grown at high altitude, from around 1,200 metres above sea level and upwards, this coffee is graded SHG EP, meaning Strictly High Grown and European Preparation. Higher altitude coffee cherries develop more slowly, helping to build sweetness, density and structure in the cup.

The coffee is fully washed, giving it a clean and balanced flavour profile while still allowing those richer, more comforting notes to shine through. Expect a smooth body, gentle sweetness and a finish that leans into chocolate fudge and vanilla rather than anything too sharp or challenging.

We’ve roasted this Honduras specialty coffee to emphasise its round sweetness, full body and easy-drinking character, creating a cup that feels rich without being heavy and clean without being boring.

Best suited for espresso, where the chocolate fudge notes really come alive, but just as comfortable brewed as filter coffee, cafetière, AeroPress or V60 when you want something smooth, sweet and reliable.
